Breignes is situated 2,5Km south of another village called Leymiat, on the D63b. Its situation offers a beautiful all-round view.
The houses along the streets are those of wine growers. In olden days, the inhabitants of this village grew fruit. Breignes has a bread oven and a wash-house outside the village on the road going to Jujurieux.
There is also a little chapel on the road to Merignat.
